Our mission is to impact the lives of men through consistent spiritual engagement and community-building.

Meet Michael Cooper

Michael Cooper is a Tulsa native and has been married to his wife, Rhonda, for 49 years. He serves as a Life and Discipleship Coach and is an ordained minister, currently holding the position of Care Pastor at Woodlake Church in Tulsa.

Michael’s passion lies in equipping and building up the body of Christ through intentional coaching and discipleship. He currently disciples over 80 men each week, challenging them to become the men God has called them to be—impacting their marriages, families, workplaces, friendships, and churches.

A faithful member of Woodlake Church since 1974, Michael brings a wealth of life experience to his ministry. In 1990, he joined the staff of Hayhurst Funeral Home in Broken Arrow, where he spent two decades as a funeral director and embalmer. During that time, he sensed a deepening call to minister to those grieving and in need of comfort, guidance, and hope.

In 2000, Michael was brought on staff at Woodlake as the Assistant Music Pastor. An accomplished pianist, he wrote, arranged, and self-produced a music CD in 2007. The following year, Woodlake released a Christmas CD featuring his arrangements and piano work.

In January 2013, Michael stepped fully into pastoral ministry when he was hired as a full-time pastor at Woodlake. During his ordination interview, a district presbyter remarked, “For twenty years you’ve buried the dead—now you’re going to resurrect the spiritually dead.”

Today, Michael oversees several key ministries at Woodlake, including the Woodlake Brotherhood, Prayer Partners, and LEGACY (Senior Adult Ministry). He is also a SYMBIS Certified Facilitator, counseling both engaged couples and those already married, helping them navigate the real challenges of life together.

In 2023, Michael launched The Journey 3HREE 6IX 5IVE. He recalls asking the Lord, “Am I doing all I can do?” The Lord’s swift response—“No”—sparked a fresh vision. From that moment, The Journey 3HREE 6IX 5IVE was born, continuing Michael’s mission to lead others into deeper purpose and growth.

THE ARROW

The symbolism of the arrow in the Journey 3HREE 6IX 5IVE branding has a significant meaning.

An arrow is straight and flies on a straight path; the arrowhead holds an edge, an arrow is fairly useless without the bow and the bow is useless without the archer. The archer isn’t effective without the discipline and training that it takes to become proficient. The arrow was used to represent men and how effective a man can be with discipline, training, and the muscle memory that it takes to use it situationally.

What People Are Saying

When you think of a devotional, you expect encouragement, maybe a verse or two. Some tools, guidance, and wisdom are available, but none are like this. It speaks directly to men who want to rise to their highest potential—strengthening their faith while becoming better husbands, fathers, and men of character. I’ve personally found myself reflecting differently, leading my family with more patience and love, and growing as a man in ways I didn’t even realize I needed. This is a difference maker. My life is far greater now because of the profound yet simple teaching and guidance taken and implemented from the Journey 3HREE 6IX 5IVE.”

“The Journey 3HREE 6IX 5IVE has been such an inspiration for me. The personal experiences the author uses to drive home the scriptural wisdom gives me hope. Hope that I too can be the man of God that He intended me to be. It also brings the scriptures into an applicable daily practice that is achievable. It has also helped me to be a more intentional husband, and that alone is priceless.”

— Keith

“Men, this group gives me two things that I didn’t even realize I was missing until I had them: a weekly anchor in God’s Word and a daily connection with other Christian men. Each day I know I’ve got a place to plug in, get grounded, and stay on track. And when life throws stuff my way, I know I’ve got brothers I can reach out to—guys who get it, who encourage me, and who keep me accountable.

Having that kind of contact point changes everything. The enemy wants us isolated, but this group keeps me from drifting off on my own. It keeps me tied to God and tied to other men who are chasing after Him.

That’s why Journey 3HREE 6IX 5IVE is so powerful. It’s not just a Bible reading plan and it’s not just a hangout. It’s a daily rhythm that keeps me steady and reminds me who I am in Christ. And I can honestly say it’s building something lasting in me.”
