  • Welcome to Journey 3HREE 6IX 5IVE. A Journey of Transformation.

If you’re like some men, they categorize their life. This can create a different person in each role or task they approach. They wear masks. The results: They’re a different person with their wife, with their children, at work and certainly when they are at church. We all have a personal life, a public life and a secret life. What if we took off the mask(s) and became what God intended us to be? What if we were the same person 24/7/365?

This is where I struggled. I became an actor. I acted different when I was alone than when I was in public. I put on a mask with my wife, with my child and wife my family. I was a different person at work than I was at church. Let me tell you the results. Total exhaustion. As life became busier and busier it was harder and harder to remember which mask to wear. All this created havoc in my mind, at home and in the workplace. My mask came off on January 2, 1987. The Worst, Best Day of my Life. You’ll read about this later. I grew up in church and served many years. But that day God got my attention. Jesus had been there all the time, but I wasn’t. I finally turned to Him. There was no other place to go.

I’ve read this verse for years: 2 Corinthians 2:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here.”

But, honestly I didn’t feel like it. It took some time to come to grips that I had been an imposter far too long.  Paul tells the Romans 12:2 “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” We will talk about this later, too.

Paul goes on to say in Philippians 2:12-13 “Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed (although I hadn’t)—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.”

And now, over thirty years later, this is where I live. I’m still being transformed and I’m still working out my salvation.

This is work. REAL WORK men. And it’s never easy. It takes effort on my part and effort on your part. Allowing God to shape us and mold us into Men of God.

James 1:22-24 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.

I have a purpose because God had a plan. God has a plan for you, too. Let me help you. Let’s do this journey together.

Proverbs 27:17 “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”

The days ahead I will challenge you with words that the Lord is leading me to write. Coupled with God’s Word and by allowing the Spirit of God to work in and through you - your life will change. You’ll become the man you’re supposed to be. You’ll become the husband God intended and your wife will be blessed. Your children will have a Godly father so when you talk to them about Your Heavenly Father - they’ll understand.

The people who work for you or the people you work with will see a difference and this will bless them. And certainly not last - your church will thrive. Why? Because the mask(s) have come off - and you will be changing, transforming. Becoming more like Christ.

    I’m ready. Are you ready?

What People Are Saying

When you think of a devotional, you expect encouragement, maybe a verse or two. Some tools, guidance, and wisdom are available, but none are like this. It speaks directly to men who want to rise to their highest potential—strengthening their faith while becoming better husbands, fathers, and men of character. I’ve personally found myself reflecting differently, leading my family with more patience and love, and growing as a man in ways I didn’t even realize I needed. This is a difference maker. My life is far greater now because of the profound yet simple teaching and guidance taken and implemented from the Journey 3HREE 6IX 5IVE.”

“The Journey 3HREE 6IX 5IVE has been such an inspiration for me. The personal experiences the author uses to drive home the scriptural wisdom gives me hope. Hope that I too can be the man of God that He intended me to be. It also brings the scriptures into an applicable daily practice that is achievable. It has also helped me to be a more intentional husband, and that alone is priceless.”

— Keith

“Men, this group gives me two things that I didn’t even realize I was missing until I had them: a weekly anchor in God’s Word and a daily connection with other Christian men. Each day I know I’ve got a place to plug in, get grounded, and stay on track. And when life throws stuff my way, I know I’ve got brothers I can reach out to—guys who get it, who encourage me, and who keep me accountable.

Having that kind of contact point changes everything. The enemy wants us isolated, but this group keeps me from drifting off on my own. It keeps me tied to God and tied to other men who are chasing after Him.

That’s why Journey 3HREE 6IX 5IVE is so powerful. It’s not just a Bible reading plan and it’s not just a hangout. It’s a daily rhythm that keeps me steady and reminds me who I am in Christ. And I can honestly say it’s building something lasting in me.”
